Three Consecutive T20 Centuries : Tilak Varma became the first batsman to score three consecutive T20 centuries: Hyderabad captain Tilak Verma broke many records during his brilliant innings of 151 against Meghalaya in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Saturday. Tilak became the first batsman to score three consecutive T20 centuries. The innings played by him is also the highest innings played by an Indian batsman at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Hyderabad’s opening match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.
Tilak’s stormy innings of 151 runs in 67 balls helped Hyderabad score a huge score of 248/4. Tilak also broke many records. Tilak’s score is now the highest individual score in the history of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He surpassed Shreyas Iyer’s 147. This innings made him the first Indian player to score 150 or more runs in a T20 match. Tilak is regarded as one of the most talented young players in cricket.

Tilak Varma Completes 3,000 Runs in T20 Career
With this innings, Tilak also crossed the 3,000 run mark in T20 cricket. He has achieved this feat in 92 T20 matches at a strike rate of 146.18. He has 4 centuries and 16 half-centuries to his name.
For the Indian team too, Tilak has scored 616 runs in 19 innings of 20 matches, in which his average has been 51.33 and strike rate 161.25. This performance of Tilak is very special for the future of Indian cricket.
