Sanju Samson created history by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper batsman to score a century in T20 Internationals against Bangladesh. He crossed the 100-run mark by hitting a four on the 40th ball of his innings. Before Samson, the record for the highest individual score by an Indian wicketkeeper in T20 Internationals was held by Ishan Kishan, who scored 89 runs against Sri Lanka in February 2022.
2. Sanju Samson became the first Indian to score a century against Bangladesh in T20
With the century scored in Hyderabad, Samson has become the first batsman to score a century in all 17 T20 matches played between India and Bangladesh. Before Samson, the record for the highest individual score in an India-Bangladesh T20 match was in the name of Rohit Sharma, who scored 89 runs in Colombo on 14 March 2018.

Sanju Samson crossed the 100-run mark in just 40 balls in the second T20 match against Bangladesh and became the second fastest Indian batsman to score a century in T20.
